A Sculpted Castle

I was trying to scrub you away,
and after one too many tries I got it right,
and I've yet to look back since that night
I told myself no…

But who knows, right?
I contemplated you and us,
and while I contemplated you and us,
my love for you faded.

A sculpted castle on the sands of time,
the tide rose fast and my love for you faded.

Very nice! "A sculpted castle on the sands of time," how much of our lives is this fragile and ephemeral?
