Samuel Tillman

As an author's note, I usually never feel the need for one of these, but: this poem was inspired by a single piece of music on repeat - "Roslin & Adama" performed by the composer Bear McCreary. The "Bergamasque" mentioned is in reference to composer Claude Debussy's "Suite Bergamasque." Both pieces are performed by a solo pianist and both leave distinct flavors and emotions. The first is inspired by the love of two fictional characters, while the other holds sentimental value to myself. The pieces are to be listened with the subject of love in mind - the journey, the experience, and the sorrow and joy. I scrabbled this onto a piece of scrap already written upon, I was so suddenly struck with this simple reply to some imaginary confession of love I'd been daydreaming.

Thank you for your author's note Samuel Tillman! I will investigate these musical pieces. And thank you for your comments on other poems as well, and your poetry in general. For a site that hibernates often, you certainly wave fresh baked cookies in its nose with enough frequency that it awakens from time to time, or at least has nice dreams.
