One Perspective of the World

Lanister parties filled with incest, debauchery, fighting and quarrels
Fictional masterpieces playing on repeat in houses across the globe.
Penniless hoodlums rummage the streets looking for fun
Dangerous dads abuse their families mindlessly
While Drake sings songs about his troubles with girls.
While hermits and druids seek meaning in the world
And men and woman with laptops perched on pillows in their bed
Look for answers to questions they have before they're dead.  . . .

An absurd reality repeating and repeating and repeating
Until consciousness finds the solutions and ends suffering
Buddhist mantras and funky prayers that unite the senses
Or so they say, in plastic churches and black monasteries
Baptizing infants and burning the dead with licking flames
How long have I been in this cycle of consciousness viewing this world?
Hopefully this is my last incarnation and I transcend this transient existence of mind and body.
A man can dream.
