Poem to a sweet summer girl

You did not deserve to suffer that day.
At least, not anymore than myself,

For we are one in the same,
I am a man and you a dame,
We still exist on the same plain -
The field of dreams.

Suffering grows us stronger, if we let it.
Only those who are mindful will get it.
The pain is but a frame,
A perspective, no shame.
Pain is both weakness
As it is also strength.
The potential for anything
Exists at a blink.

Seek to understand the root, like Bruce,
And you will understand all its blossoming, Truth.
We are all a melody played by Krishna's flute.
